BioDon't have time for a Bio right now so I'm going to paste a 50 random facts query I did for something else a month or two ago.
1. What time did you get up this morning? When did my alarm first go off or when did I finally crawl out of bed? I was Up around 7:30
2. How do you like your steak? Every way from parboiled and then seared to a crisp finish to just barely introduced to heat and nearly raw.
3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Ice Age 3-D and Harry Potter and the HBP back to back.
4. What is your favorite TV show? Man meets Wild. Hardly ever watch TV but old favorites are Northern Exposure and Mash. Currently running would be Chuck, Royal Pains and House, also most of the house makeover shows and What To Wear on TLC.
5. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? I like California. Though New Zealand looks awesome and I’d go back to Indonesia anytime.
6. What did you have for breakfast? A mouthful of plain yogurt just before I ran out the door. It was Brown Cow’s cream line so it tastes fine, just really not enough to start the day. Getting ready in the morning with one hand takes longer than I expected.
7. What is your favorite cuisine? Pan Asian...Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Acehnese (Northern Sumatra) India, Mexican, pizza and Mediterranean!
8. What foods do you dislike? Not a big fan of hotdogs, bologna, American cheese, white bread, canned vegetables, overly processed or overcooked food, really salty or sweet foods.
9. Favorite Place to Eat? Fat’s in Roseville and Crepeville in downtown Sac. In Fairfield, Chef Alexander’s Mediterranean Café by Costco (everything is excellent but the chocolate mousse is the best I have ever had.) Here in Napa, I don’t know yet.
10. Favorite dressing? Blu Cheese (as in crumbled) or oil and vinegar
11.What kind of vehicle do you drive? 1996 Mercury Mystique
12. What are your favorite clothes? A great pair of jeans and button down shirt.
13. Where would you visit if you had the chance? That I haven’t already been to--India! Japan, Europe (north, west, east and south), Africa (north, middle and south), Canada, Central and South America, Afghanistan (and all the other stans), the Middle East in general, Australia, New Zealand, Papua, more of Indonesia, more of China. Pretty much everywhere other than Antarctica, the North Pole and maybe Greenland and even then, if someone else paid I wouldn’t say no.
14. Cup 1/2 empty or 1/2 full? Empty is an interesting concept and outside of a vacuum can't really exist. Let’s say differently filled for now.
15. Where would you want to retire? Retire? Life’s too short to retire.
16. Favorite time of day? Dawn (when I can get up in time) and twilight.
17. Where were you born? In a secret government facility.
18. What is your favorite sport to watch? Eventing, track and field and swimming
19. What would you like to be doing right now? Putting a horse through its' paces, it has been far too long and I could use a good gallop this evening.
20. What is your favorite form of exercise? Running, hands down.
21. Who are you most curious about their responses to this? Everyone's! I am insatiably curious.
22. Bird watcher? I enjoy watching birds but you will not find any logs of how many I’ve seen or photo albums chronicling my rare sightings.
23. Are you a morning person or a night person? Neither, I am not terrible good at getting up in the morning and by evening I’m usually too tired to enjoy them as much as I would like; if I must pick, mornings win out because I am considerably more productive.
24. Do you have any pets? Do sisters count?
25. Any new and exciting news you'd like to share? I learned to ride a dirt bike! And promptly broke my hand running into a fence.
26. What did you want to be when you grew up? A mom/marine biologist/missionary/farmer/ adventurer scientist
27. What is your best childhood memory? Playing in the surf with my Dad.
28. Are you a cat or dog person? More dog than cat (have you ever meet a cat that goes hiking?) but I like them both.
29. Are you married? yes and currently separated :-S
30. Always wear your seat belt? yes
31. Been in a car accident? A collision? Yes, several times and more of them my fault than not.
32. Any pet peeves? Apathy, stupidity and ignorance.
33. Favorite Pizza Toppings? After sauce--Tomatoes, good cheese, basil, garlic, zucchini, spinach, and most any meat but not all at the same time.
34. Favorite Flower? Nasturtiums ...and sweet peas and sunflowers and poppies and most roses.
35. Favorite ice cream? Anything Haagan Daz! And Green tea, Durian, and Persian ice cream with crunchy noodles and pistachio nuts (saffron flavored rose water is a classic).
36. Favorite fast food restaurant? With a drive-through… In-N-Out. For a walk-in… Chipotle
37. How many times did you fail your driver's test? Didn’t.
38. From whom did you get your last email? Elaine Hadley.
39. Which store would you choose to max out your credit card? Um, that sounds scary…not sure I could.
40. Do anything spontaneous lately? Sung the 'Mes longs cheveux' from the opera 'Pelléas et Mélisande' in wretched French in the parking lot of a local high school for the amusement of a 7 year old.
41. Like your job? Yes, in part because I know it’s only for another week and there was a huge backlog of stuff to do when I got there last week. If it was everyday there simple wouldn’t be enough for me to do.
42. Broccoli? Steamed with lots of sliced garlic and served with some olive oil or butter, cheese never hurt either.
43. What was your favorite vacation? Lake Toba
44. Last person you went out to dinner with? Grace and Isaac
45. What are you listening to right now? Blood, Sweat and Cheers by Lenahan.
46. What is your favorite color? Purple/ golden yellow/ rich pinks/ almost all blues and greens /blue reds /gold, red and blue browns /black /greys /most oranges/ oatmeal and off whites that are not yellow.
47. How many tattoos do you have? Not one and I have no interest in changing that fact; I haven't even pierced my ears.
48. What is something you want to learn? Sailing, Arabic, Greek, emergency medicine, Farsi, Chinese, lots of things!
